Amy Torbert (MA ’07) shares news that the Association of Historians of American Art is holding its biennial symposium tomorrow (Thu, Oct 14) and Fri, Oct 15. Jointly organized by the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the University of Maryland, the two-day virtual symposium will feature presentations of new research, roundtable discussions, and Q&A sessions. Grad Program alumnae Lea Stephenson (MA ’17) and Ellery Foutch (MA ’03) will be among the presenters. Registration for the symposium is free, but an active membership in AHAA is required to watch all pre-recorded presentations and attend all live virtual events. Karen Kowitz spotted an announcement that Jessica Fripp is giving the Annual Rosenberg Lecture on “The French Academy in Rome: Adventures in Bromance” at the Dallas Museum of Art on Nov 11 at 7pm! The talk has limited in-person spots and will also be livestreamed.
